As you can see, I'm a few days behind. Part of this is the delay in trying access our blog.
On Tuesday, we visited Tengwang Pavillion. It was absolutely beautiful. The views from the pavillion were amazing as we were able to see both old and new Nanchang. We have a picture of the family with the statue of the mouse because MeiLin was born in the year of the mouse and there is a picture of JD by the snake because he was born in the year of the snake. We didn't have time to find the rooster -- the year in which both Scot and I were born. We also spent time in WalMart. It was just like home except everything was written in Mandarin in addition to being written in English. In the picture of the Coke, you'll notice a sign that says 2.20 -- that is the equivalent of about $0.35 in USD for one 18 oz Coke.
On Wednesday, the group visited the Ancient Village. We chose not to go as everyone was fairly run down. We spent a quiet day in the hotel. We did venture out a little bit and found a corner market and Tiffanie's. While at Tiffanie's we ordered a traditional Chinese outfit for MeiLin for her picture on the Red Couch in Guangzhou. We will pick it up today -- Thursday.
Today we are going to Renmin Park. I really don't have any information about it but hopefully I'll have some great pictues. This is the first day since Monday that it hasn't rained so we are looking forward to that, as well.
