The moment for which you've all been waiting!!!!!

MeiLin is here!!!!!!  We arrived at our hotel at about 2:00 p.m.  Allison and Evelyn told us the orphanage had called and they would be at the hotel around 4:30 and to please go to the meeting room on the second floor at that time and to please keep in mind that the babies may be early or late.  Well, they arrived early.  At about 4:05 we received a phone call that our baby was here and to report downstairs immediately.  I was able to pick out MeiLin.  She was so tiny and frail looking. 

The experience was much different than I expected.  There was more chaos than I expected.  Eventually she was handed to us.  JD took the pictures and I think they turned out great.

As I said, she is very tiny -- she might weigh around 12 pounds.  She is a good eater -- she eats a bottle about every six hours.  She does not cry very loud or often.  She is very solemn and hasn't really smiled.  She is very sweet though.  Interestingly enough, she does use the toilet, although it is periodically.  Her skills are that of an infant with the exception of being able to take a bottle proficiently.  We are all absolutely in love.
