We arrived in Nanchang, the capitol city of Jiangxi, the province in which MeiLin was born on Sunday around 2:00. The flight had some turbulence but we got through it and overall it was an uneventful flight. Allison, our guide, flew from Beijing with us. She has been absolutely great!! We also were introduced to our guide, Evelyn, who has also been great!
We are staying at the JinFeng Hotel. It is absolutely gorgeous -- along the same lines as the Renaissance in Beijing. We are getting very spoiled.
The city of Nanchang has 4.4 million people living in it and it is considered a small city. No city in Kentucky has that many people. JD has had many people stare at him and several people snap photos of him. Evenlyn told him he was like a movie star because he his American and has red hair. Not many people in China have red hair!!!!!!!
